 One would have liked to treat this as a
"Sane and Sage Advice" from a much respected senior Indian Cricketing
Icon, Mr. Sunil Gavaskar, to a 26 year (ONLY) YOUNG and impetuous Virat Kohli. 

But when one recalls
that the same Mr. Sunil Gavaskar, who was the Captain of the Indian Team that
was touring Australia then and was much older (31 years) and  was 
involved in a HIGHLY Un-sportsmanly WALK OUT from the Middle towards the
Pavilion along with his bating partner Chetan Chouhan, even at the RISK of
CONCEDING a defeat for India, just because he felt that he was dealt with a
wrong umpiring decision and because the Aussies had mocked at him for showing
his displeasure at the wrong umpiring decision, one gets forced to call this
stance of Mr.Sunil Gavaskar,  a case of
the ‘Pot calling the Kettle Black’ !

In short, Grand Words
of wisdom!(From someone who was ONCE guilty of a WALKOUT in an AussieTest-Pot
calling the Kettle Black?!

Let me BLUNTLY ASK you and dare you to answer one
FRANK QUESTION: Are all the moderators on the Hindu Website Hindus belonging to
some ‘COMMUNAL and Bigoted Upper Caste/ Group ’ who, on the one hand, allow all
“ISLAMOPHOBIC” posts to get published but BLOCK any and every critical comment
on VHP, BAJRANG DAL, BJP, and in general comments that are critical of any
organisation belonging to the HYDRA HEADED SANGH PARIVAR and especially
comments that a MODERATE / SECULAR / Equanimous Muslim like me wants to make ?

Though I have a very high opinion about YOU as a
person since I consider you  as being
above BIAS and quite Courageous, I doubt whether you  are going to give me a REPLY on this subject
since you have not done so and also NOT done anything in the past in regard to
my earlier such COMPLAINTS.

I am furnishing in the following my earlier letter
that I wrote to you on the same subject matter that has so far  been ignored by you.

I am unable to understand as to why these comments of
mine were REPEATEDLY ( Seven Times ) REJECTED by your MODERATORS:

(1)           Article
“ At 100, more worries than hope” by Mr. Yogendra Yadav –The Hindu September 3,
2014.

My Comments:

"The article presents a Dispassionate &
BALANCED analysis of 100 days of BJP- government at the centre & successfully
brings in to SHARP  FOCUS the ACUTE
DIFFERENCE between; the promise of converting India “through impromptu  ACCHE DIN” 
in to a "LAND of MILK & HONEY within 100 days using the MAGIC
WAND of  GUJARAT MODEL”  AND the REAL India that CONTINUES to suffer
from High Inflation and High and Rising prices of all essential commodities
with Tomato and Onion and many other fruits and Vegetables scaling NEW HEIGHTS!
AND to divert the Common Man’s attention away from his daily pressing problems,
we have the Right Wing Fringe groups who try and Keep the ‘Communal Cauldron
Hot and in fact, to boil Over on almost a daily basis! So much for the promise
of “Good if not Excellent Governance!

I  AM SURE THAT
NEITHER THIS ARTICLE NOR THESE COMMENTS IN IT’S SUPPORT WILL GET APPROVAL of
ANY OF THE BLIND SUPPORTERS OF MODI! BUT I AM ALSO SURE,NEITHER I NOR YOGENDRA
YADAV WOULD CARE ABOUT IT!"

news reports CONCERNING “Ayman al-Zawahari’s video and related news
reports  in The Hindu September 4 to
September 5, 2014 ( Some four different reports against which I posted the
following Comments several times but they were REJECTED every time!)

My Comments:

"Age old wisdom&SAGE ADVICE tell us that
"Whatever be the differences &  quarrels between members of a feuding
family,they should UNITE when threatened by an EXTERNAL Enemy to thwart its
designs against the family & to ultimately, defeat it”!

So, without PRESSING the Panic Button, in these days of
RESURGENCE of MINDLESS INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM of the Al-Qaeda, the ISIS &
the Taliban  variety that is emanating
from West Asia & from our immediate neighbourhood in Pakistan &
Afghanistan that could any day affect us too,we the  Peace Loving Citizens  of India, should forget our differences &
petty quarrels & truly bury all our Hatchets & stand united like one
man to FACE this THREAT with courage & a CONVICTION that ‘mindless evil’
from whichever side it may appear will finally 
get Vanquished by the forces on the side of Truth , Fraternity &
Equality provided they remain UNITED!

So let us all take an OATH today to truly UNITE our
HEARTS & MINDS to fight this evil together till it is DECIMATED totally
& irrevocably!"

In fact after getting frustrated, because I could not
fathom the reason for these above comments getting rejected, I even posted the
following Comments before POSTING my above comments for probably the seventh
time!

My Comments:

I HAVE POSTED my comments OVER THE last two days
SEVERAL TIMES ( AT LEAST  six times SO
FAR) AND your  BIASED MODERATORS  have UNJUSTIFIABLY BLOCKED my COMMENTS so
far! I am posting them one last time and EVEN after this complaint, if you
continue to block my comments I shall approach your 'READER'S EDITOR' and also
the EDITORIAL BOARD with my complaint directly.

I am sorry to say, that despite making the above
complaint to them, YOUR MODERATORS have once again REJECTED and not published
my earlier mentioned two sets of comments on the relevant web pages! This is
not the first time I have found that your moderator’s YARDSTICKS for different
readers seem to have a HUGE INEXPLICABLE DIFFERENCE ! On the one hand they
allow many HIGHLY OFFENSIVE comments from others while BLOCKING  innocuous comments like these from me !

Sir, I request you to KINDLY INVESTIGATE as to “ WHAT
or WHO” is responsible for this kind of DOUBLE STANDARDS that are being

                           While you were truly candid in most of your replies to the questions that directly related to your personal and professional life that Barkha Dutt asked you on ‘We the people’ NDTV show, your answer to her ( LEADING?) question whether like Shabana Aazmi you also had experienced any discrimination as a Muslim, you, almost on cue, not only said that neither you had faced any kind of discrimination, but also, you vouched on behalf of your brothers too that, nor had they faced any such discrimination and you also went on to MAKE a HIGHLY GENERALISED STATEMENT and I quote “There is too much ALARMISM amongst Indian Muslims” to which Madam Barkha ADDED (Once again on Cue and with Prior Agreement and Arrangement I suppose?) – and I quote “The siege mentality of the Muslims”!

                           I want to ask you, whether, even if it is ‘ALARMISM’ and a “Feeling of being under a siege” on the part of Indian Muslims, is it not justified after facing thousands of Minor Riots all over the country on a Day To Day basis AND hundreds of MAJOR RIOTS and POGROMS (1969 –Gujarat, 1970’s - Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur, Meerut, Aligarh, Bhiwandi AND post BABRI MASJID DEMOLITION RIOTS all over INDIA including that in a small city like Mysore in supposedly a PEACEFUL SOUTH INDIA, Mumbai (December 1992 – March 1993 for three long months and more that got stopped only after the Mumbai Bomb blasts - a terrorist act involving some Mumbai underworld dons!) and the ‘Crowning Glory’ - 2002 -Post Godhra State Sponsored Anti Muslim Gujarat Pogrom for which even a Children & Women Minister in the then Modi Government Dr. Mayaben Kodnani and some other Prominent VHP men like Baba Bajrangi were not only CONVICTED by a Supreme Court appointed Special Court in Maharashtra but also have been sentenced to life terms with specified minimum period of incarceration for both of them going beyond thirty years each, and the recent ‘Mini Gujarat Pogrom Replay in Muzaffarnagar UP (2013) that as per most if not all the INQUIRY COMMISSION REPORTS, were / are, engineered and totally orchestrated by the Right Wing Extremists and the fringe / goon elements in their Registered Affiliates like the VHP and Bajrang Dal? And now that the Sangh and its affiliates literally rule over India through their Political Wing at the centre shouldn’t the Indian Muslim be wary of them?

                     Have you forgotten Safdar Hashmi’s martyrdom, Have you forgotten how MF Hussain had to die in EXILE? Were Shaban Aazmi and Imran Hashmi lying when they mentioned about the discrimination they faced while they were trying to obtain flats in some localities?
I accuse you of having PLAYED to the GALLERY on this TV show to SELL your BOOK, your autobiography, by generalising your ‘PERSONAL EXPERIENCES of ‘NONDISCRIMINATION to YOU’ as a PROOF that there is NO DISCRIMINATION against ANY of the Indian Muslims, an assertion that flies in its face and which is the MOST ILLOGICAL CONCLUSION anybody can draw while being confronted by a Huge body of RECORDED EVIDENCE that exists in the archives of all the National Dailies as well as in the Hundreds of ‘COMMISION of INQUIRY REPORTS’ {Such as the Justice Sri Krishna Report on the Mumbai (1992 December – March 1993 post Babri Masjid Demolition riots}) that are lying in the central and respective state governments cupboards inside their record rooms gathering DUST for YEARS/ DECADES without any of the recommendations having been properly implemented!

 Verily September 24, 2014 has to
be and will be written as a ‘Red Letter Day’ in the annals of not only ‘The
Indian Space and Research Organisation’ but also in India’s ‘space faring’
history.

The ISRO scientists have made the whole nation proud by achieving a
‘Uniquely Glorious Success’ in their very maiden attempt at placing the ‘Mars
Orbiter’ successfully in to Mars’s orbit, a feat that has been achieved only for
the first time by any nation in its first attempt, proving to the whole world
that India is as advanced as any other so called Advanced Nations in its
‘Science and Technology Missions, be it Space Research or any other discipline
such as Nuclear Science!

The ‘Nation as a whole’ is totally Grateful to the ISRO scientists for
putting India on a ‘Pinnacle’ that the whole world is also appreciating and
applauding and for this we all offer our Heartiest Congratulations to them and
wish them more such magnificent successes in future.

We would also like the Central Government and especially Prime Minister
Mr. Modi not  to  stop just at offering a wholesome praise to
the ISRO scientists that he did in his own inimitable manner and style after
the successful completion of the Mission in Bangalore, but additionally he
should announce a ‘Grand Special Bonus’ for all the scientists and their
assistants who strived hard  over almost
an year after the mission’s launch in November 2013 to make this success
possible apart from giving all of them a ‘Special Golden Memento’ with a
‘Citation of Honour’ engraved on it that they can cherish for their whole life!

School dismisses 11 Dalit cousins over ‘defiling’ of water - The Hindu -September 21, 2014

This refers to the News Report “School Dismisses 11 Dalit cousins over
‘defiling’ of water” by Aarti Dhar, The Hindu, September 21, 2014.

             After reading this report, one is left aghast that even in this day and
age, there are still bigots like the upper caste primary school teacher Mangal
Singh who had the temerity and impudence to dismiss eleven Dalit Cousins from
the school, that too, a Government run school, for no major fault or crime by
them except for two of them showing the unexpected gumption and drinking  water from the earthen pot that was
exclusively kept for the upper caste teacher!

          This incident that is a Glaring Example of the pernicious practice of
untouchability against Dalits is only the tip of the iceberg that got reported
by a watchful and concerned reporter of The Hindu, since such and similar
incidents are still very common in rural India, despite the prevalent stringent
law on prevention of atrocities on Dalits.

           The reason for it is the predominantly upper caste nature of the
demography in the Indian Police Force and so, many policemen either don’t
register a FIR on a complaint from a Dalit or even after registering the
FIR,  drag their feet during  investigation and delay the  arrest of those committing the atrocity since
almost all such atrocities are most often committed by members of their own
upper caste groups! This anomaly in ‘disproportionate’ representation of Dalits
and even Minorities in the police force needs to be corrected on an urgent
basis for preventing such Biased Enforcement of law by the police.

      Fortunately, in the current case,
the police has at least acted within ‘Three Weeks’ (!)  to arrest the culprit and one hopes that they
will complete the investigation, at least, at the same rate, without
deliberately scuttling the probe, the possibility of which is immense because
the Accused Teacher on his part has apparently foisted a ‘False Case’ against
the parents of the eleven Dalit students! Some Local NGOS / Social Service
organisations should ensure that this case does not get derailed as many such
cases have in the past and that this abominable behaviour / crime of a person,
that too ‘a Teacher – a Guru’ by profession against his own ‘students-
shishyas’ gets an exemplary punishment at the earliest and his fate becomes a
strong deterrent against persons of a similar bent of mind.

            Since
‘time immemorial’ and all over India, the Dasara (Navratri) festival has been
truly one festival of India that has always and necessarily been celebrated
less as a religious festival and more as a cultural one signifying the ‘Victory
of Good over the Evil’ in which traditionally all Indians cutting across  Caste, Creed and Religious divides have
participated joyfully in a spirit of secular bonhomie that is unique to India!

                   
But now, these two news reports and the earlier report about the Madhya
Pradesh police, in the wake of Indore MLA Usha Thakur’s call for banning
Muslims from Garba events, asking the Organisers of the ‘Garba Dance
Programmes’ on the occasion of Nine day Navratri festival to allow people to
the dance venues only after identifying the antecedents of ‘Participants’ and
especially men, through ‘Proper Identity Badges’, are all, not just disturbing
but in a way alarming and hence the law enforcers – especially the Police force,  should be totally on guard pro- actively to
prevent any untoward communal incidents from happening!  

             
It is very clear that  these
‘Concerted efforts’  by various Extremist
Right Wing Fringe Elements  from the
Sangh affiliates and surrogates such as the VHP, Durga Vahini and Rama Sena and
so on to create a ‘Nation Wide’ movement against minorities using the
‘Unfounded Bogey’ of ‘Love Jihad’ and also ‘Beef Eating’ habits of some, are
specifically and deliberately meant to 
create a permanent rupture in the fabric of our nation’s  ‘Unity in Diversity’ and should be RESISTED
‘Tooth and Nail’ by all those who keep the ‘Secular Ethos’ dear to their hearts
and who in fact and really form a majority 
amongst all the different sections of our society.

                 
God save India from the ‘Destructive Designs’ that are openly being made
nowadays  and ‘Potions of Hatred’ that
are being freely and  liberally  served by the ‘Communal Elements’ of all hues
in the name of ‘Imaginary Threats’ to their individual religious faiths with
the LAW  enforcing machinery watching
these spectacles, almost helplessly most of the times!

In this article, the duo
of Mr. Sanjay Kumar and Pranav Gupta are apparently desperate to prove, with
their ‘convoluted logic and rationales’, their following flawed hypothesis,
using all kinds of ‘Spin Doctoring’ of Poll – Data in its favour!

(1)        These repeated, consecutive and Pan – Indian By-Poll debacles
for the BJP in the three stages of By-polls since May 16, had nothing to do
with any ‘Disenchantment’ of the electorates 
with the Modi government at the centre and everything continues to
remain ‘hanky – dory’ between them!

(2)        Even though SP has won Eight out of Eleven seats that were
vacated by the BJP only recently after the Loksabha Elections, the SP has ‘No
Right to seek any CREDIT for it’ because this performance of SP was all because
of ‘External Factors’ other than its own poll strategy or campaign or its own
ability to win at any time!( This for the party in power in UP!)

(3)        The “Dalits’ who had all voted for the BJP in Loksabha had,
within four months changed their option for SP! (That too when the BSP regards
as the main OPPONENT for Dalits in UP! This assertion is made without giving
any “DIRECT co-relation between the ACTUAL DALIT VOTE percentages that might
have gone in favour of the SP!

(4)        AND no mention of the consolidation of SP’s main vote base –
The Yadavs?!

Not once do this duo
mention anything about the main “FLAW” that many others have noticed in the
BJP-Poll strategy of Making the Rabble- Rouser Yogi Adityanathan as their Main
Campaigner in UP and instead of the ‘Development Mantra’ that was very adeptly
used by Modi in his campaign for the Loksabha Polls, using the unfounded ‘Love
Jihad’ and other Communally Divisive issues for narrow electoral gains that
have clearly landed back on them as all ‘Boomerangs’ would eventually do!

All in all , this article
is a very poorly written article that is ‘Long’ on ‘opinion’ but short on
‘Statistical Facts and Proof’ and is Clearly an attempt by a pair that is
apparently ‘Deeply Disheartened’ by the drubbing BJP has received so early
after its landslide victory in the Loksabha Elections and hence is out to act
like an ‘Official Apologist Duo’ for it and while doing so falls in to a pit
where only those ,who  are ‘more loyal
than the king’ should belong!
