Hearing Mr.Modi blame “India’s Enemies “ for Narco Problem in Punjab, One is reminded of Mrs. Indira Gandhi blaming an unseen (& many times UNFOUNDED!) "Foreign Hand" for all the problems faced by India during her extended tenure from 1967 to 1977 and again from 1980 till her assassination by an Indian for Indian reasons in 1984 that are part of India's recent turbulent history! Now Mr. Modi apparently likes to 'play out' - "Role Models" based on India's recent history ( From 1947 to IRONICALLY till 1984 !). He started off his Election Campaign (along with a media Blitz) about him being in the Mould of Sardar Patel, then he has played a little bit of Shyama Prasad Mookherjee in Kashmir, to Subhash Chandra Bose in Bengal to a "He Man" version of Mrs. Indira Gandhi on a PAN-INDIAN basis! At least for him, apparently, the Philosophical Adage-Life is a Stage is coming HANDY every time, in front of his audiences! But will the MAQUERADES be enough to LEAD this Complex nation??!!

The above were my comments posted on The Hindu against the following News Report on Mr. Modi's ONE MORE " SPIN DOCTORING" on a CURRENT important but very complex ISSUE of the Punjab Youth becoming ADDICTS to which  Mr. Modi, as usual, tries to give a SIMPLISTIC TWIST / SPIN and reduces ITS SOLUTION to a CLICHE!

 Narco-terrorism

In the backdrop of inflow of drugs from Pakistan into Punjab, he cautioned that India’s enemies who failed to break up the country, have resorted to narco—terrorism as part of their nefarious designs to destroy the youth. Modi said when a BJP—led NDA comes to power at the Centre, it will put an end to drugs being pushed into Indian territory from across the border.

“We won’t allow our youths to be destroyed,” he said, adding the country’s border security will be modernised.
