I remember him telling Shekhar Gupta during one of the
episodes of "WALK the TALK" program on NDTV last year or so,that
beyond a FEW CRORES of RUPEES of
personal Holdings and Wealth, it does not matter how many hundreds or thousands
of crores come in to your account as one CAN'T "EAT MONEY" and has to
necessarily try to make a GOOD USE of it for sake of all(that is FOR the GOOD
of COMMON PEOPLE) since he believed that
such HUGE AMOUNTS of WEALTH earned by some
CORPORATE LEADERS like HIM ought to be TREATED as "PUBLIC
TRUSTEESHIP" and not as personal wealth to be SPLURGED on LAVISH LIVING!{ I had hoped then that the MUKESH AMBANI group famous for "ANTILLA ( Their 27 Floor MANSION in a VERY HIGH PRICED POSH LOCALITY in MUMBAI with provisions of a HELIPAD and several FLOORS earmarked for SERVANTS QUARTERS etc) and the BIRTH DAY gift of a PRIVATE CIVILIAN AIRCRAFT to ANITA AMBANI and so on and so forth would have seen that EPISODE of "WALK the TALK" and got MOTIVATED similarly TOWARDS treating their ENORMOUS WEALTH as PUBLIC TRUSTEESHIP and for PHILANTHROPY like AZIM PREMJI was known for, even then ( He had then DONATED Rs 4000 Crores towards CREATING INSTITUTES of HIGHER LEARNING all over India and for spreading EDUCATION in India, in general!} !
