                        Dr. Arvind Virmani,a
CONFIRMED FAR-RIGHT ECONOMIST, in this article, keeps REPEATING on and
on,ad-nauseum only one OBSERVATION almost to EXCLUSION of any other ECONOMICAL
INSIGHT, that India is now slated to overtake CHINA in terms of GDP growth in
2015-2016 or at least in 2016-2017!

                        While he justifies his
optimism (& concomitantly that of IMF) with some SOUND ECONOMIC EMPIRICAL
& other EVIDENCES, he CAREFULLY avoids to make any other COMPARISON of
India’s Economy with that of CHina’s as they stand today!

                        He forgets to mention that
EVEN WHEN CHINA’S GDP is likely to fall to the EXPECTED LOW of 6.3 %,in
absolute DOLLAR TERMS that growth will be MUCH HIGHER than India’s 7.5 or even
8%,because of the MUCH HIGHER BASE of CHINA’s ECONOMY as compared to India’s!

                        So, Dr. Arvind
Viramani, is,apparently on behest of central government, BOOSTING a MIRAGE of
“INDIA overshadowing CHINA economically” that is BEING PEDDLED like GOSPEL
TRUTH to CLAIM that MODI Govt. has already brought “ACCHE DIN"!!!

STORMS that hve destroyed their STANDING CROPS resulting on an average,in
nearly 42 FARMERS COMMITTING suicides DAILY all over India, they have not EVEN
GOT the BIZARRELY MINIMUM RELIEF that this "JUMLA GOVT - a GOVT. by, of
& for CORPORATE" and its State governments have SHAMELESSLY ANNOUNCED,
while the AAP government in DELHI has announced a COMPENSATION of Rs 50, 000/-
Per Hectare!

                       AND in
ADDITION to this INSENSITIVE DISREGARD for FARMERS WOES , this "JUMLA GOVT
- a GOVT. by, of & for CORPORATE" is FEROCIOUSLY PEDDLING the ANTI_
FARMER BILL, a Bill that in its current form, really amounts to a "
FARMER'S LAND GRAB BILL with SKETCHY REHABILITATION PROPOSALS and which rode on
a CAVEAT of "JISKI LAATHI USKI BHAINS?!

              
This "CORPORATE LOBBIED BILL" that has OUTRAGEOUSLY
UNDEMOCRATIC and AUTOCRATIC sections against the FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT of a FARMER
to OWN and sell his LAND at his own PLEASURE and with his CONSENT, should be
fought TOOTH and NAIL as otherwise it will end up as the "LAST NAIL in the
COFFINS of FARMERS many of whom are already committing SUICIDE due to the
UN-VIABILITY of FARMING at places that are RAIN FED and depend on POWER for
pumping of water from BORE WELLS!



            Now
that RAHUL GANDHI also is at his COMBATIVE BEST and has for once, CHOSEN the
RIGHT CAUSE to FIGHT for, this "LAND GRAB BILL with the CAVEAT of JISKI
LAATHI USKI BHAINS" introduced by the BHARATYA "JUMLA" PARTY
Government at the centre will NOW certainly NOT GO THROUGH AND it SHOULD not be
ALLOWED to GET THROUGH, without ALL the ESSENTIAL ( deleted by the "JUMLA"
- Central Govt.)CLAUSES being RE-INTRODUCED, that is, (1) Consent of the
FARMERS before LAND ACQUISITION ( 2) IMPACT ASSESSMENT before LAND ACQUISITION
(3) Return of the LAND to the FARMERS ( original owners) after 5 years if Land
remains UNUSED for the purpose for which it is acquired by the government in
the first place AND above ALL (4) Payment of FULL ( four times the REAL MARKET
PRICE) Compensation UPFRONT with all other REHABILITATION conditions being
fulfilled ( Such as JOB for the EVICTED FARMER or one member of his Family urgently
and not after 10 - 20 YEARS, but with in some STIPULATED SHORT PERIOD of time!

Chennai-born Raja Rajeswari has been sworn-in as a criminal court judge in New York by Mayor Bill de Blasio, becoming the first India-born woman to be appointed a judge in New York City.

Ms. Rajeswari, 43, who had migrated to the U.S. from Chennai as a teenager, previously worked with the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office for her entire career in several bureaus including Criminal Court, Narcotics, Supreme Court, and the Sex Crimes Special Victims Bureau, where she last served as Deputy Chief.

Ms. Rajeswari took the oath of office at a ceremony in New York City on Monday along with 27 other judges appointed earlier this month to the Family Court, Criminal Court, and Civil Court, which are part of the New York State Unified Court System.

The mayor appoints judges to 10-year terms in the New York City Criminal Court and the Family Court within the city.

“To ensure New Yorkers have access to a fair, equitable justice system, we need judges who are qualified, honest and reflective of the people of this city,” Mr. de Blasio said.

“With their wealth of legal experience, these appointees represent all five boroughs and all walks of life. From the first female South Asian-American judge in New York City to a former NYPD First Deputy Commissioner, these talented leaders truly reflect the diverse range of communities that make up our great city,” he said.

The mayor said Ms. Rajeswari has an “extraordinary, extraordinary empathy for others”.

He lauded her ability to speak in Indian, Middle Eastern and Southeast Asian languages, saying she put her history as an immigrant and ability to speak all these languages to work, “helping to reach immigrants” in the Staten Island communities where she served as an Assistant District Attorney.

“And she saw as her mission to give them confidence in the justice process,” Mr. de Blasio said.

Ms. Rajeswari came to the U.S. when she was 16.

“It’s like a dream. It’s way beyond what I imagined,” she had told silive.com, a Staten Island news website.

“For someone like me, an immigrant who comes from India, I’m beyond grateful,” she had said. “I told the mayor this is not only my American Dream, but it shows another girl from a far away country that this is possible.”

Ms. Rajeswari hoped to use her new position to improve the judicial system by encouraging interpreters to have more access to aid immigrants, the news site had said.

Ms. Rajeswari had told Desi Talk newspaper that she had observed gender inequality even before coming to the US when some of her “brilliant” girlfriends in India were married off at the age of 14 and 15. “That has always stayed with me.”

As a prosecuting attorney in New York, she has come across numerous cases of spousal and child abuse with in the South Asian community in New York, Ms Rajeswari had said. “Many of the domestic violence victims have been South Asians, Sri Lankans.”

Ms. Rajeswari has served in the district attorney’s office for the past 16 years and has been the deputy chief of the Special Victims Unit for more than four years.

She has worked on cases involving women and children and said they are the ones that touched her the most.

Ms. Rajeswari said that she hopes to use her new position to improve the judicial system by encouraging interpreters to have more access to aid immigrants.

“I’m honoured to sit on a city bench and make Staten Island proud,” she said.

Currently, there are two male judges of Indian descent in civil court settings — Jaya Madhavan on the New York City Housing Court in Bronx County, and Anil C. Singh of New York County Supreme Court, 1st District, according to ethnic New India Times.

Besides her legal acumen Ms Rajeswari is an accomplished Bharathanatyam and Kucchipudi dancer who continues to perform at Indian events and temples with her troupe from the Padmalaya Dance Academy, named after her mother, Padma Ramanathan.

                      "Where
there is a WILL there is a WAY" - This rare achievement by Ms Raja
Rajeshwari far away in a DISTANT LAND – USA, proves this maxim,  and will surely motivate many Indians and in
PARTICULAR INDIAN GIRLS to attempt DIVERSE PROFESSIONAL FIELDS instead of
restricting themselves to a selected few FIELDS like EDUCATION / OFFICE
ASSISTANTS / NURSING and nowadays Soft Ware Engineering only.

                   At the outset I would like to  state that every sensible person should and
would certainly and unequivocally condemn the 
Violent Attempts being made to make Ms. Sharmila Seyyid  go through harrowing times by a small fringe
group of  self appointed vigilantes  amongst the Muslims in the South Asian
Subcontinent and West Asia, as reported in the article.

             Whatever be the Contrarian and
justified  views these Vigilantes Groups
might be having as against that held by Ms Seyyid, they do not have a RIGHT to
Violently counter her whether through attempts to physically or mentally harm her
by stalking her on the net! She has as much freedom of speech and expression as
the vigilantes have and nobody should be permitted to thwart her sacrosanct
right to LEAD a LIFE with a PARTICULAR STYLE of her own volition and also to
proclaim it as being the preferred choice for others too!

                        

          If at all those who are against her
views want to counter her, they too have 
the DEMOCRATIC RIGHT to counter her VIEWS / IDEOLOGY by propagating
their own, the way she has, by publishing their Contrarian Views / Ideology and
getting as many Followers / Converts to their view point as they successfully
can!
